Biography My love for nature began as a youth while exploring the fields and creeks of beautiful upstate New York where I was born. It was there I viewed my first butterfly. I began spending countless hours collecting and studying them and their caterpillars as well as any other insects I could catch. When I couldn't be outside, I drew numerous pictures of the creation I had grown to love. At that time I realized that I wanted to do "something" with art and nature when I grew up. I also came to the realization that home is a better place when we bring a little nature into it - although my mom may not have thought so as I tried to smuggle various critters into the house! In 1994 I began my career as a wildlife artist. Several years later I developed an interest in photography as well. Now interest has turned to passion and appreciation. Photography has enabled me to see intricate details and design in nature that I would have missed otherwise. God has given us so many wonders to enjoy and yet many times we pass them by without even a glance. I'm afraid we're so busy "doing" that we've forgotten how to "see". Thank you for slowing down long enough to "see" and for allowing me to share these images of creation with you. |
