Tall Autumn Maple

Autumn Maple God gives not glorious color To a Spring leaf newly born, For first it must be tested By wind and drought and storm. God sustains through every trial And when the victory's won He gives each leaf glorious color As if to say "Well Done". -Steven Russell Smith

To me there is something very special about fiery autumn leaves set against a cloudless blue sky. I love the composition of this particular image. It is also very special because it is my first cover photo for "Birds and Blooms" magazine.
