Tiger Swallowtail on Carpet Phlox

Tiger Swallowtails are the first butterflies to appear at our woodland garden in early spring. After a long hard winter it is a glorious sight indeed to view these magnificent creatures nectaring on our brightly colored carpet phlox. Tiger Swallowtails and Monarchs are among my favorite butterflies.
